The University of Bath SSL Virtual Private Network (VPN) portal is the Remote Access and VPN system for securely connecting to the University of Bath with a Windows or Mac Computer. To use the service please login and download the GlobalProtect agent for your system.
Once the agent is installed it will ask to connect to a 'portal'. The portal name is remote.bath.ac.uk
Multi-Factor Authentication is enabled on this service. You must have configured MFA on your university account using either the Authenticator App notification method, or telephone calls and enabled as default. Please visit your Account Security page to configure this. Login will appear to simply fail if you have not set this up.
For other devices and agent-free configuration, the University has an IPSec VPN service compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and mobiles running iOS and Android. We recommend you visit the Network Setup Assistant and follow the instructions there.
